  • 1. Steam ID:
  • STEAM_0:0:199199450

  • 2: Your age:
  • 15

  • 3. You IGN (In-Game Name):
  • Chicken

  • 4. Playtime on the server:
  • 3 hours but I will be playing a lot in the near future.

  • 5. The scale of 1-10 how known are you within the community:
  • I am well known in the staff team, for good reasons, and I would like to think I am also well known in the community. 7.

  • 6. On the Scale of 1-10 how active can you be within the server:
  • I can be really active, especially on weekends where I have a lot of free time. So about a 7.

  • 7. Current Rank (Donator/Member)
  • I am a donator (Custom Class X1)

  • 8.How many hours do you have on Garry's Mod:
  • I currently have 571 hours on Garry's Mod but that number will only increase with time.

  • 10. Have you been staff on previous servers and if so what rank and what server:
  • I sadly have not been staff on any servers before. I have tried many times and have been denied a lot, mainly due to age. But, I have seen a lot of moderation and have done a lot of discord moderation which I have been able to gain second-hand experience from. If you guys decide to make me a member of the staff team, I will promise to make you proud and make the server a better place for not just staff, but players too.

  • 11. Why do you deserve this rank over other applicants (minimum 200 words):
  • I have many skills that allow me to not only deserve this role other the other applicants but also make me the best possible pick from all the moderators ever, combined, squared. I can easily take my own personal opinions away from a situation and see the problem from everyone's view. This allows me to dissolve a problem easier and leaves both/all parties extremely happy with the end result. I can also fairly judge a situation thanks to my real-life legal studies which in I focus on rules and ensuring how people should be following them. That is definitely a good thing to have as a moderator, many servers don't have moderators that actually know the bloody rules! I personally have read the rules multiple times in order to study them, find loopholes people may use, and then find a way to break that loophole. I am also going to, and have gone to, one of the most prestigious non-government funded secondary schools in victoria, which basically means I have a big brain. I am extremely mature but at the same time also able to access a situation in order to tell whether it is a good time for a joke or not; making the situation more relaxed and fun while at the same time not making a poorly-timed joke at a wrong time.

  • 12. What is your time zone:
  • GMT+11

  • 13. Do you have experience with ULX?:
  • Yes. During the creation of my own DarkRP server, I had to work with ULX for moderation/joking around purposes. I have a vast knowledge of what everything does and I know a lot more than just a few tips and tricks.

  • 14. How many warns do you have on the server?:
  • None just yet but I can get some if they are needed.

  • 15. Please explain a bit about yourself:
  • I am a secondary student who lives in Victoria, Australia and is currently attending one of the most prestigious secondary schools in Victoria. I wish to become a practising lawyer of contract or high-end work. I love reading rules in order to find out how they work off each other and how they can be legally broken. I can use this in order to help ensure no loopholes will be made from any sneaky players. I also prefer sandbox games over any other which has made me have a love for Garry's Mod since a young chicken.

  • Scenarios

    1. If someone on the server is Mic spamming what do you do?

    • I would verbally warn them and explain what they are doing, how it is wrong, and how it could be annoying other players. If they continue to spam on their microphone I will have to officially warn them and if they continue their acts, I will have to mute them for a short time if it is a first-time offence. (I also understand that all scenarios are different in the real world and therefore must be taken with all the conditions in mind, this is something I understand and will be willing to work around.)

    • 2. Someone has just joined the server and doesn't know what to do, what do you do?
    • I would be more than willing to personally help them out through their journey as I understand that DarkRP can be very confusing when you are new. Whether it is an occasional tip I give to the player in the chat or a literal verbal tour and guide throughout the server, I not only would enjoy giving the help, but I would also be happy know that I have helped someone significantly in their beginnings and have made a new player happy. Making players happy is exactly what the staff team is here for, and that is what I am here for.

    • 3. People are getting bored and leaving because no one is around, what do you do?
    • I would create an event in order to create excitement throughout the server, while also making the event set-up a little bit longer in order to prolong the excitement and keep the players in a happy mood for long while at the same time putting in the same amount of effort (a lot) for the custom events that players will love. If the overall amount of players is down I would invite a few friends onto the server in order to create a sense of community in the server and make it so people want to play.

    • 4. If someone spams chat and insulting everyone and you what do you do?
    • Well if they are spamming I would politely ask them to stop but if they are continuing the spam I would have to officially warn them through ULX and if they dare to continue their spam I would mute them depending on the circumstances of their spamming (Speed, amount, what was being spammed, etc). However, when we get to the insulting bit it gets fun. Based on literally rule one, Freedom of speech is accepted. (Yes racism is allowed) which means that I, a staff member, cannot punish them for the insults on fairgrounds; however, as of rule 10, section A (General Server Rules), Insulting someone is a valid reason to RDM which means the players can legally RDM the player who is insulting everyone in the chat. But it gets better, since the player is insulting everyone, everyone can legally RDM the player, meaning that they have effectively put a bounty on themselves. Very funny.
    • 5. Two players are arguing in OOC, what do you do?
    • Firstly I would ask them to pm each other if they wish to continue; however, if the argument is detrimental to either the server, the arguing parties, or the players, I would kindly ask them to drop the topic.

    • 6. If someone is Mass RDMING what do you do?
    • Ban them, no questions asked. If they are genuinely mass-RDMing they should be banned immediately in order to reduce the amount of harm that they do to the server and the server's players. However, if I am wrong, which I am a human/chicken, they can appeal and I would be happy to allow them to rejoin, should I have made the wrong call.

    • 7. If someone left the sit what would you do?
    • Bring them back and remind them that they are LTAPing. I will also ensure that they can hear me by talking in chat as well as through voice chat to them as some people (stupidly) do not have their audio on and may mistakenly leave a sit. If I can confirm that they are doing this act of leaving the sit with malicious intent, I will ban them for whatever they have done, and then some as they had their fair chance to defend themselves and they threw it away by trying to be funny.

    • 8. If someone lies to you and you find out they did what do you do?
    • Punish them for what they lied about and then some more on top of that for being deceitful and immoral. However, this kind of thing is very situational as the lie could be minor or massive, the question does not state how severe the lie is. If it was extremely minor I would likely be annoyed but not add anything to the punishment, but if it was massive, as in it caused harm to another player, they would be in a world of hurt from Mr Chicken.

    • 9. If another staff member is abusing and he is a higher rank than you what do you do?
    • Easy, gather evidence and report to Volker. However, I would hate to have to report one of my fellow staff members and as a result, I hope I never will have to.

    • 10. If someone is just all-around griefing what do you do.
    • Warn them for minging, if they keep doing it I would give them a short temp-ban.

    • 11. Are you in the steam group and have TGS in your name?
    • I am in the steam group but I do not have TGS in my name. I do have [Funky] in my name and I am pretty sure that is the one I need, right? I can easily change it; however, to fit what is needed.

    • Meanings
      1. What does RDM mean?
    • Random DeathMatch. The act of killing another player for a non-valid reason that does not follow the rules of the server.

    • 2. What does RDA mean?
    • RanDom Arrest. The act of a swat/police/law enforcement role arresting a player without a valid reason or motive.

    • 3. What does Meta Gaming mean?
    • Metagaming is the act of using information systems that are built into the game such as kill feeds, or the use of chat adverts/OOC in order to gain information that usually wouldn't or shouldn't be given to your character in order to gain an advantage against other players. For example, you are a police officer and you see in chat that player X as killed player Y. You then go and arrest player X for murdering player Y even though you should've of known the murder had occurred.

    • 4. What does NLR mean?
    • New Life Rule. The rule that upon a new life you are not meant to remember anything about your old life in order to improve the roleplay experience for all players. This rule also prevents you from entering the area of which you have recently died in from up to 5 minutes.

    • 5. What is prop climbing?
    • Prop climbing is the use of props in order to gain access by making a staircase or some other arrangement of props to reach a location that you should not be able to have access to, such as a roof building or the top of someone's base. This is considered unfair, failRP and overall, a dick move.
